J & J Auto Works has been part of the Vero Beach community since 1986. What started as a small, family-run auto body and mechanical shop has grown over nearly four decades into a name local drivers trust — but the values that opened our doors haven't changed: honest work, fair prices, and treating every customer's vehicle like it's our own.
We're proud to operate as a non-DRP (Direct Repair Program) shop, which means we aren't tied to any insurance company's network or preferred-vendor agreements. Many collision repair shops build their business around volume deals with specific insurers, which can quietly shape which repairs get approved, which parts get used, and how quickly a job gets pushed through. We chose a different path. Because we answer to our customers instead of an insurance company's bottom line, we're free to advocate fully for you — writing the estimate the damage actually calls for, fighting for proper repair procedures, and never cutting corners to protect an insurer's margin.
Over the years, we've grown to offer a full range of services under one roof: collision repair, general auto body work, mechanical repair, and paint and refinish services using the Sherwin-Williams Ultra 7000 system. That range means most customers can bring us their vehicle for anything from a small dent to a full collision repair to routine mechanical maintenance, and work with a team that already knows their vehicle's history.
At the end of the day, we're still a family-run shop in Vero Beach, and we still believe the best way to build a business is one honest repair at a time. That approach has kept customers coming back — and referring their friends and family — since 1986.
